Day 01 Arrival in Srinagar
On your arrival, our tour representative will assist you to settle comfortably at the pre-booked hotel, from Srinagar Airport/ Railway station. After you check in and relax for a good amount of time; we embark on the journey of touring Srinagar, the summer capital of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, through its Shikaras (traditional boats), Wooden Mosques (places of prayers for Muslims), Orchards and Gardens, handicrafts, dry fruits and the rich ecstasy, tradition, hospitality, clothes and a rich sense of hospitality in the local population – all combined in one that truly make Srinagar, the Heaven on Earth.
The area is home to a rich Biodiversity. Himalayas on the backdrop add greater beauty to the landscape of Srinagar. The gardens of Kashmir have a charm of their own, that has attracted many travellers from far and wide to experience peace, tranquillity and the best nature has to offer.
Shalimar Bagh, Nishat bagh, Achal bagh, Karishma Shahi, Pari Mahal are amongst the gardens are the most famous tourist detsinations. The Zabarwan range of mountains hold many a picturesque view of the valley.
Wular Lake and Dal lake are the most frequented lakes of the Kashmir valley.
Day 02 Srinagar, Sonamarg
On the second day of your tour, we drive to Sonamarg which translates to “Meadow of Gold”. Located at 85 Kilometres from Srinagar, the drive overlooks snowclad hills of the Himalayas and lots of greenery on both sides. The place is home to a variety of peaks like Kolhoi, Amarnath, Machoi and Sirbal.
Places worth visiting include- Vishansar lake, Nilagrad river, Zoji La Pass, Thajiwas glacier, Krishna Sagar lake and Baltal Valley.
River Rafting at the Shutkari Bridge and pony rides to the Thajiwas Glacier are enjoyable activities peculiar to the place. Your tour guides will help you out with the best in photography. Nallah Sidh river overlooks the place making it an even prettier place through all seasons. Sonmarg is important for the ancient reason that it is a part of the silk route and an entry point from China to Kashmir.
The beauty of Sonamarg catches the fancy of many travellers as undoubtedly this is one of the most beautiful places with snowclad mountains, greenery, clean and picturesque springs, lakes, orchards, gardens and meadows. You deserve some rest before we start on Day 3 of our tour. Your stay at the hotel is well taken care of!
Day 3 Sonamarg – Gulmarg
Gulmarg or the Meadow of Flowers, truly lives up to its name for in the Summers this place exhibits an unparalleled beauty like no other place! Also, this place is one of the top skiing destinations in India.
Also, Gulmarg’s cable car is world’s second highest one, operational in two phases – till Kondagiri (at a height of 2600 mts.) and further till Aparwath Peak at a height of 3747 mts. from where tourist can get a majestic view of the Nanga Parbat.
Other places worth visiting include are- Baba Reshi Shrine, St. Mary’s Church, Maharani Temple and more. Khillan Marg, Alpather lakea and Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve are ideal for sight seeing and to explore the flora and fauna that include- wildlife animals like Himalayan Musk Deer, Red Fox, Brown and Black Bear. Ningli Nallah spring is a favourite amongst Picnic spots.
Day 04 Gulmarg – Pahalgam
Day 4 of our journey takes us to Pahalgam, a picturesque town situated in the Anantnag district of Jammu & Kashmir state. The mesmerizing flora and fauna of this place combined with its presence between the mountain ranges, truly bags it the title of “Switzerland of the East”.
Amongst the lakes- Sheshnag lake, Marsar lake and Tulian lake. Aru village and Valley, Betaab Valley, Lidderwat, Sinthan top, Kolahoi Glacier, Dabyan Vallley and Pahalgam golf course are other places of prominent tourist presence due to the sheer natural beauty, peace, tranquillity and stand stillness they bring to an outsider.
Chandanwari, Avantipur ruins, Mamaleshwar temple, Mattan are other places to visit.
Also, Pahalgam gives enough scope for a shopping lover to indulge with its Pashmina Shawls, wooden handicrafts, souvenirs, woollen garments, wooden objects of decoration and what not!
A tour well spent, calls for a night of warmth and relaxation in the hotel arranged for by us; before we get going to the final leg of our Journey back to Srinagar.
Day 05 Pahalgam - Srinagar
The last leg of your tour, the Pahalgam to Srinagar transportation is arranged for by us. The journey is a beautiful one that enchants every traveller whose tours we have facilitated so far. The Pines, Deodars, Poplar, Willow, Kikkar Kul, Sarva Kul, Chestnuts, Chinars etc, along with the intermittent snow, crystal clear water in the lakes, valleys and glaciers make you wonder and affirm at the same time that indeed- “this is the Heaven on Earth!”
